Space Rental Application, Rules & Regulations
Post Falls Public Market of Post Falls has established the following rules and regulations for the benefit and safety of its' vendors, customers and management. Post Falls Public Market wishes to maintain a clean, safe and friendly environment. Please help us in doing so. Rules and regulations are subject to change.
1. HOURS OF OPERATON: Vendor set up Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 am & 5/7 p.m. to 9:00 p
Market Hours: 9:00/10 a.m. – 5/7:00 p.m.
The market will be open from 9:00/10 a.m. to 5/7:00 p.m. depending on the day of the week. Post Falls Public Market kindly requests that vendors be set up by 9:00 a.m. when the market opens and remain open until closing time and begin tear down after. Any dealers not open for business by 9:00 a.m each morning will be charged a $5.00 late fee per booth. Any dealer not remaining open until closing time will be charged a $5.00 early fee per booth. We provide times to set up the evening before and in the morning before market opens and same with tear down. If you need more time, please let us know and we will make that happen.
2. TAX: STATE OF IDAHO The state of Idaho requires all vendors to have to have a Sales and Use Tax Certificate. If the dealer does not have such a number, an application can be obtained at the office. If you feel that you will only set u for one weekend the state provides a form for daily or weekend sales. A copy of this can be picked up in the office.
3. RENTAL RATES: Booth rental sizes and rates vary by booth size and number of days rented ie weekend rate vs daily rate. Please see our website, under the vendor tab to find out the current rate for the days you plan to rent.
NOTE: As required by the city of Post Falls, there is an additional charge of $1.00 per day, per vendor for City Occupational License added to the both rent.
Rental payments are non-refundable. Please visit our website to reserve your booth space. If you are unable to do so, please let us know a head of time so we can assist you with that to make sure you have a space reserved when you get here.
4. RESERVATIONS: All spaces must be reserved online before setting up. Rent spaces must be paid by no later than 3:00 p.m. on Sunday for that week. Reservations can be made online at www.postfallspublicmarket.com. Those paying late will be charged an additional $5.00 per booth. No collections will be made at the booths. Any reserved space that is not occupied by 9:00 a.m. will be considered vacant and available for rent.
All spaces not paid for by 3:00 p.m. on Sunday will be considered available for new vendors to rent for the following week or weekend.
5. MERCHANDISE: Post Falls Public Market prohibits the sale of any merchandise or products that are illegal to sell or possess under any law. This prohibition includes all counterfeit products in violation of any patent, trademark, or copyright law. This prohibition also includes fireworks, alcoholic beverages, Marijuana products, crushed or ground incense, ANY political or other objectionable material towards ANY group of people, petition signings and any item deemed objectionable (at the sole discretion of Post Falls Public Market ) Games of chance are not allowed. Combustibles – gasoline, propane, fuel oil, etc. are not permitted inside the building at all. The following items require special permission from the office: food or drink items of any kind, pets/animals, and electric scooters. Additional rent may be required for certain items, ANY vendors who display objectionable merchandise or who conduct themselves in a manner which disrupts the market or other vendors will be removed from the premises. Post Falls Public Market reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. WE ARE A NEUTRAL ZONE! WE ACCEPT EVERYONE AND REJECT NO ONE! PLEASE ENTER WITH A NEUTRAL MIND AND KEEP IT CLEAN! AND PLEASE STAY SAFE!
6. ELECTRICITY: Outlets are available at each booth to provide display lighting, operating demonstrations, and other small electrical demands. For safety reasons No halogen lights, or personal electric space heaters or AC units will be permitted. There will be an extra charge for excessive lighting or electricity use.
7. WALLS: Each space is identified by a number and vendors may only display their merchandise within their own booth area. Walls may not be erected closer than 30 inches from the aisle line. Height of the walls must not exceed 6’6”. No materials, (peg board, walls, dry wall, etc) may be attached in any way to Post Falls Public Market property without prior permission from Post Falls Public Market management. Post Falls Public Market does not permit signs to be posted in, around or outside or our building unless approved by Management first.
8. SECURITY & INSURANCE: The market will be locked at all times when closed. Post Falls Public Market does not carry insurance covering the loss of vendors’ merchandise and will not be held responsible for the loss of merchandise by the reason of theft. Disappearance, fire, windstorm, or other risks. We suggest that you consider obtaining appropriate insurance to protect our merchandise and against any injury that may occur as result of products you sell or happen around your booth space.

*During set up times. the market is open to VENDORS ONLY. One of the front doors will be unlocked for admittance. There will be a ‘sign in’ sheet for all those entering to sign in. While working in your booth, do not let anyone enter through open doors unless authorized to be there. If you see someone wandering around and they do not have a booth in your section of the building please come to the office and let us know. Do not enter another vendor’s booth under any circumstance without his/her permission.
9. SUBLETTING: No vendor may sublet part of his or her space to another vendor nor transfer their space to another vendor when they leave the market without prior permission from Post Falls Public Market. If your booth space remains vacant to consecutive weeks in a row, it will be considered "abandoned" and will be re-rented.
11. TRASH: Each vendor should sweep his or her space to the aisle at the end of the day and must dispose of his/her own non "sweep-able" trash in the dumpster or garbage cans provided. A $5.00 fee per space will be charged to any vendor who does not dispose of his/her trash or keep booth swept and clean. A $10.00 fee will also be charged to any vendor leaving trash, boxes, displays, etc. outside their door(s): plus, all said property will be disposed of.
12. SMOKING: No smoking is allowed inside the Post Falls Public Market . Post Falls Public Market is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is strictly prohibited within 25 feet of the entrances.
13. INDEMNIFICATIONS: Each dealer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Post Falls Public Market from any kind of loss, cost or expense or any sort of nature. Each vendor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Post Falls Public Market and its' subsidiaries from any liability to any person on account of any damage to personal property resulting or occurring by reason of use and occupancy of space(s) by a vendor. Including any liability arising from the sales of goods or services, or for any failure of a vendor to comply in any respect with or to perform any of the requirements and provisions of these operating rules and regulations.
